I'm not sure if i made a mistake but my sentence was supposed to read " Students Study Think And Sleep To Become Good At Anthropology" Can you explain to me where i went wrong if you read over it again and it does not translate into this ?
Liam, I decoded your sentence to match what you intended. Good code and good response.
Jamie, it looks like you started right from the first RNA triplet (UGG) and started translating your sentence there (UGG translates to "The"). You needed to locate the start codon (AUG) and begin the translation process there.
Here is my decode for reference:
DNA: ACCATACTAAGGCGTGAGTGTAAACGGACGGCCATTGATCATTG RNA: UGGUAUGAUUCCGCACUCACAUUUGCCUGCCGGUAACUAGUAAC Codons: AUG AUU CCG CAC UCA CAU UUG CCU GCC GGU AAC UAG (start) Students study, think, and sleep to become good at anthropology. (stop)
Thank you professor, that makes a huge difference, I understand why the start codon must be located first before simple compartmentalizing three letters and translating forwards, which I was previously doing.
My apologies Liam , yes your are right, I did not start from the start codon so in-translating my mistake was: I had letters which were off that contributed to a different message in my translation, however, I did find and locate the start codon and it made a difference and I was able to translate your message. My apologies for any confusion! But yes it translated correctly as you had written it. :)
I TRANSLATED " THE OF ODD INTO BAD ARE SKULL IN GOOD THE ADAPT An WAS YOU?"
ReplyDeleteis this correct?
